Technical Art for Media Industries
This is a collection of projects I've worked on for the course of Technical Art for Media Industries at Politecnico di Torino. An article about my contributions is available in the blog section.
> ACCESS_PROJECTThe Forbidden Sorcery
The Forbidden Sorcery is an action-adventure game I've worked on in 2025 for the university course of Game Design and Gamification. The prototype is available on itch.io and I've worked as producer, game and level designer and main programmer.
> ACCESS_PROJECTCasino Survivors
Casino Survivors is a game I've worked on for a game jam in 2025. This is a top-down 2D shooter with a three-player co-op gameplay. Each player has a different role in the team and the objective is to find the exit of the casino you're robbing, while police tries to shoot you down. For this game I've acted both as gameplay designer and programmer.
> ACCESS_PROJECTDomande?
"Domande" is a digital experience that aims at making the user think about its impact inside society and how they can actively contribute in improving it. This project has been made between late 2024 and early 2025 for the "Virtual Reality" subject at Politecnico di Torino.

Butter
Butter is an open source, free to use, library for unity that implements the Scriptable Object Architectural Pattern that I've written for future reference and personal projects.
It implements scriptable variables, events, data persistency, runtime sets, object pools and features an extensive tutorial-driven wiki.
Achievement Injector
A skyrim mod that allows other modders to inject custom achievements by creating simple json files.
This mod has been written in c++ (commonlibng) and Adobe Flash CS6.
As with most of my project it features an extensive wiki that describes all the possible features with API documentation and tutorials.
As of april 2025 over 25 story mods have received custom achievements thanks to it.
Escape from Djinn's Palace
A virtual reality game prototype inspired by escape rooms and the game 'Lushfoil Photography Sim' where you have to escape a palace in the middle of the desert by taking pictures at your environment and hence reveal hidden paths.
This game was created for the "Fail/Safe Game Jam" in two weeks by a team of two people, where I acted as a game designer and programmer. It is also my first VR experience.
Harmony: Singing the Light
A virtual reality experience where the voice of the player is used to shape the light in an intimate environment. This experience was created through the European-backed Avenue project, in cooperation with The Animation Workshop in Viborg and the Via University of Denmark.
In this project I worked as audio analysis expert and technical coordinator, modulating and assigning task priorities and making sure that all our subsystems were working together as intended.

Darker Times
Darker Times is a 15 minutes long vr game demo of a street cleaner in a dystopian future where AIs control the world and you have been chosen as employee to clean the streets of a long lost city. This was created during the "Avenue XR Game Jam" hosted by PoliTO. I worked in a team of two where I was the only programmer.
Hi, I'm Simone. Ever since I was very little I've always been passioned about tech, and throughout my life I've always followed a path that led me towards that passion.
I studied in a technical high school where I first approached programming and fell in love with it. After my graduation I enrolled in the Computer Engineering bachelor course at the Polytechnic of Turin, where I improved my comprehension of topics such as Object Oriented Programming, Signal Processing, Networks, Algorithms and Data Structures and many more subjects.
As for my Master's Degree I chose to study "Cinema and Digital Media engineering", where we're being taught many advanced topics about digital medias such as video processing, audio processing, and most notably unity and unreal engine for videogames and digital experiences. You'll find that as of today some of my projects are university projects.
